Role and responsibilities

The role would involve:

  • Developing short, medium and long term sales plans to help the organisation achieve its revenue and gross profit targets
  • Managing existing accounts and growing new customers based on segment rather than by brand
  • Making first class presentations with key customers and in public
  • Ensuring excellent communication and following up with our potential customers and existing customers
  • Enhancing sales practices, market segments and partnership models to establish long term sustainable revenue streams
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to improve the effectiveness of on and offline marketing to maximise sales opportunities
  • Working with marketing to identify gaps/trends in the market to strengthen our competitive position
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across the business
  • Working with the German sales team to improve performance and streamline operational processes to allow the focus to be on value add activities
  • Regularly providing data/MI to support with trend analysis and reporting
  • Providing timely, accurate and prompt sales forecasts
  • Establishing sales goals to support business segment revenue goals while developing, aligning and implementing territory assignment and sales plans
  • Helping to develop and implement best practices in sales policies and procedures in order to increase effectiveness and productivity
  • Participating in management decision-making processes concerning sales issues and procedures

Skills and experience

You will be an exceptional candidate, with experience in a similar role. In particular we are looking for candidates who have:

  • Strong focus and understanding of Sales activities in general - including sales planning, reporting, forecasting, sales process optimisation and sales compensation planning
  • Highly consultative solution sales approach
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, especially SalesForce, including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation
  • Experience working with and supporting sales teams, as well as the ability to present to executive management
  • Experience of selling technology products/services and selling via partners/affiliates/resellers
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Solid influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to think strategically and act pragmatically at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results driven and target focussed approach
  • Ability to confidently converse in English
